Recent Events Evolutionary Insights: Mysteries of the Female Body
May 21, Deena Emera, PhD, Buck Institute for Research on Aging, shared some amazing vignettes about the evolution of female animals, such as ducks, frogs, and dolphins, and discussed how evolutionary insights can help us better understand the idiosyncrasies of our own bodies and lead to improvements in women’s health. May 13 - 15, The IWF Cornerstone Conference was an energizing gathering of more than 750 of IWF exceptional leaders from over 40 countries. We enjoyed insightful and engaging discussions, designed to provide the information leaders need to know to make informed decisions in today’s world. East Bay Supper Club April 29, The IWF NorCal East Bay Supper Club enjoyed a delicious culinary journey of Mediterranean infused Afghan cuisine at Saffron Kitchen in Oakland. Organized by IWF NorCal member Susie Hoganson, it was a delightful evening of great conversations.
April 28, In an open conversation, IWF NorCal members Juli Betwee and Dawn Gross, MD, PhD, who pioneers revolutionary hospice and palliative medicine, shared personal stories and valuable information, exploring why death is such a taboo subject in healthcare and what you can do to encourage your doctor to talk straight with you. Peninsula Supper Club April 27, IWF NorCal members Valerie Corradini and Barbara Adachi brought together the Peninsula Supper Club for a delightful dinner at Central Park Bistro in San Mateo. The evening was filled with friendship, laughter, and meaningful connections.
April 23, IWF NorCal members enjoyed a fun dinner at Osha Thai Restaurant in San Francisco. This was organized by IWF NorCal board member Jan Yanehiro and attendees received a bag of Cheeky Bits Sweets' famous toffee, compliments of IWF NorCal member Kris Veaco's daughter Nina, the local candy shop owner.
April 21, IWF NorCal Peninsula Book Club members gathered at the lovely home of Kathy Anderson to discuss The Gatekeepers by Chris Whipple. It was a great discussion with a delicious potluck dinner. NEW Members see more>
